New York nonprofits may encounter two different security funding paths: the state’s Securing Communities Against Hate Crimes program and FEMA’s federal Nonprofit Security Grant Program. Each has its own eligibility, application and project rules. SEH Security can scope the equipment and installation portion of a proposed project.
Brands We Carry

New York Securing Communities
Against Hate Crimes
Administered by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, SCAHC supports eligible organizations at risk of hate crimes or attacks because of their ideology, beliefs or mission. Current state guidance determines which physical security and other costs qualify. A project should address the facility’s documented needs and the requirements of the active funding round.
FEMA Nonprofit Security Grant Program in New York
FEMA’s NSGP is a separate federal funding program administered in New York through the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES). It supports target hardening for eligible nonprofits at heightened risk. Review the current federal notice and DHSES application instructions before preparing a project under NSGP.
Security Camera, Access Control and Alarm
Installation for New York Nonprofits
SEH can discuss cameras for entrances and common areas, controlled access at doors, intrusion alarms, intercoms and PA systems, depending on the site. A written equipment and installation quote helps the organization understand the proposed work. The grant agency determines whether the project and costs qualify.

Request a New York Nonprofit Security System Installation Quote
Tell SEH which New York program you are considering, where the facility is located and what security concerns the project addresses. If you are preparing for the next federal round, DHSES lists steps such as New York State prequalification and obtaining a Unique Entity Identifier. SEH supplies the installation proposal; the applicant completes those steps.
